where thoughts flow like water
LinkedIn has become a daily obsession of mine, it is my primary source of information for the space industry and new technologies. Scrolling through posts, witnessing people embark on new roles, receive promotions, or publish research papers both inspires me and allows me to celebrate the achievements of strangers. However, it can also trigger anxiety and imposter syndrome.
One post that caught my attention today was by Mr. Kasliwal, and I've provided the link here. He discusses how his self-worth was linked to his professional designation. His quote, "Be true to yourself, nurture meaningful connections, and remember that you are far more than your job title," made me contemplate the other side of the coin: personal life. Does one's job title matter when it comes to finding a life companion? Is work designation linked to status, wealth, and fame?
I believe it shouldn't be, or perhaps I'm just unwilling to accept it. Life, to me, is about having a partner who supports each other, stays true to themselves and each other, accepts flaws, and strives for balance. We seek companions, not competitors. Be the person who is compassionate, empathetic, and unwavering in their true identity.
On that note, let's build meaningful relationships with everyone we encounter. Let's mend broken friendships and stay connected with our families.
